Went to dollar barn and they were closing their doors.everything was 75% off! I bought a bun ch of ribbon and wrapping paper,including winnie the pooh. Of course I had to come home and make matching gift cards and cards to mail.

I wanted to make a card that was all stamping and no Cricut to take to Krista's.I get a kick out of it even though it's not a great card!I had no conceived notion of what I was making other than a "person" made from  inanimate objects.As I was stamping, It "SPOKE" to me!!!!!(drama.....wait for it....) I guess I already gave it away with the title,but it reminded me of someone floating,thinking they're going to heaven! The clock{obvious),the single ticket,"return to sender" foot,wings(even more obvious) so I went with that and added "welcome to Paradise","air mail" and "Bon Voyage".The previous 2 stamps ruined the look  of the card for me,but the message gave me a chuckle,so there ya go.Maybe I should have titled this post "Stairway to Heaven".

Gear Head!

I tried to come up with another card (that needed inking) to take to Krista's house.I wound up making 4 similar cards and am still not satisfied.There's a little something "off" on each one.You would think I would've used each one as a lesson,but for some reason ,I tried to reinvent the wheel each time!

This is one of the first cards I made,experimenting with inking edges.I fell in love with ink and I've had inky fingers ever since..The background paper reminded me of an old faded western shirt.
